Galatians 4:12–31 — Trusting God
Where are you tempted to trust yourself instead of waiting on God? Paul’s heart for the Galatians overflows as he calls them to reject self-reliance and cling to the promises of Christ.
Originally preached to Ekklesia Churches by Dan on March 30, 2025.
This message from Galatians 4:12–31 draws a striking contrast between trusting human effort and trusting God’s sovereign timing and promises, using the powerful example of Sarah, Hagar, and the life of Abraham.
Teaching Highlights:
-
Discipleship is built on loving investment and relational trust.
-
Trusting God’s promise means resisting the temptation to fast-track His timing.
-
Our salvation is by grace through faith — not by effort, tradition, or law.
-
In Christ, we are children of promise and freedom, not slavery.
The good news is that God is always faithful to His promises, even when we stumble — our hope rests securely in Him.
